Get involved

Pregnancy is an exciting and challenging time for anyone, but it can be especially so for individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). If you are pregnant or thinking of getting pregnant, you may be interested in participating in research and patient and public involvement (PPI) activities related to MS.

There are many benefits to getting involved.

By participating in research, you can access cutting-edge treatments, help shape the future of MS care, and feel empowered and in control of your health outcomes.

If you are interested in participating in research, talk to your doctor or MS specialist to learn more about available opportunities.

Studies currently open for recruitment:

Pregnancy and Methylation changes in Multiple Sclerosis (PaMMS)

This study aims to investigate why MS disease tends to improve during pregnancy. It is looking at how the DNA is packaged and marked in pwMS and follows the changes that occur across pregnancy and after birth. This is to understand the disease better and lead to new ways to treat MS before, during and after pregnancy.

UK MS Pregnancy Register

If you have MS and are pregnant, we would like to invite you to take part in the UK MS Pregnancy Register. By answering a series of questionnaires during your pregnancy and after your child is born, you can help us understand what it is like to be pregnant with MS. Joining today could help shape how pregnant women with MS are treated in the UK through the findings of this study.
